about

This was one of the later tracks we created in 2010 when our music-writing skills was getting more complex. At the time it was our favorite because of how complicated and finger-bending the opening and ending were, but playing it live was ridiculous in costume. When it was first conceived it was "Which Weasel Witch," named partially after the board game Which Witch? but involving weasels as the main "vocals" of course. Thus, it had this partial Halloween bend to it and was filled, originally with samples from Halloween soundtracks. Live, the video including candy all over the place and scenes from witch films involving execution. Later, when we got serious in tone for the mixing of this album, this song became a continuous pain. The tones were extremely difficult to work with for the bass because of all the sample layers, in addition to the fact that we just couldn't find any good samples about witches that sounded at least somewhat scary. This one took the longest out of all of them to master because of that, even though the middle sections were pretty solid throughout the process.
